Music at Success!

Jenny Gaunt teaches class Music Year 1 - 6 and Senior Choir.

Ms Gaunt teaches class Music Year 1 – 6 and leads Senior Choir and S.I.M. Band.

Welcome to Music at Success Primary School.

Students from Year 1 to  6 attend weekly music classes. These lessons include moving, singing, playing a range of instruments, listening, reading, writing and creating Music.

Extra-curricular Music activities are available to selected students. These groups include Senior Choir (Years 4 – 6), and Year 6 S.I.M. Band.

The School of Instrumental Music program runs within the school. This Government program provides a select group of Year 5 and 6 students with instrumental lessons within school time (at present we offer Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet and Flute).

All students are encouraged to broaden their horizons and experience Music incursions. In the past we have welcomed jazz band Adam Hall and the VPs, OperaWA and the local area concert band into our school. We also participate in Music: Count Us In each year – an event where students participate in a whole-school music-making performance.

All students are encouraged to involve themselves with Music to the best of their ability. Music makes so many contributions to kids’ development; it assists their academic achievement and social/emotional wellbeing, it enhances brain function, memory, concentration and ability to express feelings. And it’s fun!

  3. Hi Miss Gaunt! I really miss you, it’s been a long time! I just want to ask you if I could have any access to the song ‘The Future is Ours’. We used it for our 2014 graduation song. I tried it on YouTube, but it didn’t work. Is there any way of accessing to the song ‘The Future is Ours’? If you can’t search it up on YouTube, then can you tell me if there is a special link or something, and if so, I would appreciate it if you could help me access the website (if it is a website, that is) to your maximum reach.
    Thanks, Ian Lee

    1. Hi Ian, nice to hear from you. You can hear the choir sing the song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhjV1ybVidM

    1. Hi Tahliya,
There will be a performance week at the end of each term. Sorry you are missing this one! Perhaps you could come at another time this week and perform it for another class? If you ask your teacher then I would be happy for you to do that at a time that suits your class.

      1. Ok Miss Gaunt thanks
